Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Gridlooper, including pattern generation, 3D visualisation, credits, marketplace, communities, and optional Patreon linking.
Agreement
By creating an account or using Gridlooper, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Gridlooper lets users configure crochet generation projects, queue asynchronous generation jobs, review 3D outputs, purchase generation credits, publish and buy marketplace patterns, create or join communities, curate pattern collections, and optionally connect Patreon accounts for gated community access. Features may change, and some capabilities may be limited by plan, credits, region, or account status.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Authentication is provided by Clerk. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the service or other users.
Credits and payments
Generation features consume credits. New accounts may receive complimentary credits, and additional credit packs may be purchased through Stripe. Credits are generally non-transferable and have no cash value except where required by law. Marketplace purchases and seller payouts are also processed through Stripe. Taxes, currency, refunds, and chargebacks are handled according to applicable law, Stripe’s rules, and any refund policy we publish.
Marketplace and sellers
Creators may publish patterns for free or paid sale. Sellers must have rights to the content they list, provide accurate descriptions, and complete any required Stripe Connect onboarding. Buyers receive access to purchased patterns according to the listing terms at purchase. We may remove listings, withhold or reverse payouts in cases of fraud, IP complaints, chargebacks, or policy violations.
Communities and Patreon
Community owners may create open communities or Patreon-gated communities. For gated communities, joining requires a linked Patreon account and an active membership to the linked campaign. Patreon subscriptions are billed by Patreon, not by Gridlooper. Community owners are responsible for the communities they create and the collections they curate. We may moderate or remove communities or memberships that violate these Terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting unauthorized access, interfering with generation infrastructure, scraping private assets, uploading unlawful or infringing content, harassing others, circumventing Patreon or purchase gates, or using the service to distribute malware or spam.
Intellectual property and content
You retain rights in content you submit, subject to the license needed for us to host, process, display, and deliver the service (including generating 3D previews and showing marketplace or community listings). Generated outputs are provided for your use within the product and any rights described at the time of generation or purchase. The Gridlooper name, branding, and software remain our property or that of our licensors.
Disclaimers
The service and generated outputs are provided “as is”. Pattern generation, 3D visualisation, and marketplace content may contain errors or omissions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific generation quality, or that a finished crochet project will match every preview.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gridlooper and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or a greater amount required by applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the product. Provisions that should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will continue to apply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes, except where local law requires a different process.
